The Agilent 10777A Optical Square, used with Agilent straightness measurement optics, adds squareness measurement capability to the Agilent 5529A calibration system. The optical square measures the squareness of axes during laser calibration of a machine tool. The Agilent 10777A uses two accurately-aligned mirrors to direct an output beam at precisely 90 degrees to an input beam.
The Agilent 10777A is one component of a family of measurement optics that tailor interferometer systems for the physical layout and measurement requirements of each application. Configured with appropriate laser head and system electronics, the optics are part of a precise positioning or calibration system that improves product quality, increases yields, and facilitates manufacture of precision products.
Squareness Measurement Specifications
The following specifications assume that the Agilent Dimensional Metrology Analysis System is used in conjunction with the Agilent 5529A calibration system to provide averaging and calculation capabilities for straightness, parallelism and squareness measurements.
Accuracy
Short Range Optics:
Metric Units Mode: ±(0.5 + 0.1M) arc-seconds ±0.01 theta
